Rennet Tablets +Qso 100
You might call these vegetable rennet tablets, vegan rennet, vegetarian rennet tablets or Junket tablets.
These come in sheets of 10 pills or a box of 100 Tablets.
What are rennet tablets?
Rennet tablets are used to coagulate milk using enzymes. In other words, they turn milk in liquid form into curd for cheesemaking.
How to make cheese with rennet?
Each tablet is scored into 4 segments for ease of use. The desired portion of rennet is dissolved in 1/4 cup of cool, non-chlorinated water for 15 to 20 minutes. Add to the milk. Stir for 30 seconds gently and then let the milk sit undisturbed for 20 - 60 minutes (according to your cheese recipe) until the milk sets.
NEVER keep part of rennet solution for later use. When using store bought milk you may need to add a little more rennet.
These tablets are enclosed in "blister packs" so they are individually sealed and not exposed to oxidation until their "blister" is opened for use.
